Dental Bridges

Dental Bridges are one of the principle alternatives to dentures and are used to replace missing teeth.  These are natural tooth colored replacement teeth that are made of porcelain bonded to precious metal and are anchored by one or more crowns on each side of the missing tooth.  This is a two appointment procedure.  During the first appointment, the tooth on each side of the space is prepared to receive a crown and an impression is taken.  A transitional (temporary) bridge is fabricated while the laboratory custom makes the final bridge.  During the second appointment, approximately 2 weeks later, the transitional bridge is removed and the final bridge is cemented (glued) into place.

Generally speaking, you can only be eligible for a bridge to replace missing teeth if you have enough strong teeth with good bone support in place. Our dental team can help you decide the best way for you to replace your missing teeth.
